The way we live has changed to when many homes were originally built and we need spaces that serve more than one purpose.
We want to cook and entertain in cosy and interesting rooms that make our guests feel welcome. Much of our work involves creating open plan kitchens that are also social spaces. Within period homes, we get many requests to knock the walls through between the dining areas and kitchens, and then extend too.
These areas are where the family can all be together but still do different things: cook, entertain, eat, work, school work, TV time – all whilst looking out into the garden and enjoying increased natural light in the day time.
